“Having the necessary infrastructure for the development of our country and being able to decide about it and manage it properly” is mentioned in the FemCAT Manifesto as a necessary factor for competitiveness. Between 2007 and 2010 FemCAT undertook several initiatives related to aerial competitiveness.
Centered around the transformation of Barcelona into an intercontinental airport hub, the actions focused on the proper management of the Barcelona airport (Participation in an event organized in March 2007; joining the campaign Catalonia Wants to Fly Higher in December 2007), and in promoting a study of the expansion of the airport towards the sea (benchmarking trip to Hong Kong and Shanghai in 2009).
